I am 43, married, with three young children. The oldest is in second grade at
Mast Way School; the other two are headed that way. My spouse is working towards
a Ph.D. in bioinformatics at UNH and volunteers weekly at Mast Way. My goal as a
school board member will be to maintain educational excellence in the Oyster
River schools. At the same time, as a home owner in Lee, I recognize the need to
squeeze maximum educational benefit from each tax dollar.

- Associate Professor, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, UNH. 1988 - present.
community:
- ORYA soccer and T-ball coach, three years
- volunteer for Otters swim team
- regular volunteer at Mast Way for Parent's Night Out and playground work crew.
Major Issues
- Space needs at the high school must be dealt with immediately
- Information technology (computers/internet access/teacher training)
- Teacher evaluation and assessment
- Communication among schools and between parents and teachers
- class size
Priorities
- Quality education for every student will be my first priority
- Efficient use of every tax dollar will guide my decisions
- I will strive to improve our schools rather than maintain the status quo
