Having recently retired as the Head Football Coach of the University of New Hampshire for the past 27 years, I have decided to run for the Oyster River School Board. I have always had a deep interest in academics and due to the fact that next year I will have three children attending Oyster River Senior High School my interests have been refocussed to the High School level.

I am not a politician and I certainly don't profess to have solutions to all the problems that have surrounded the Oyster River School District in recent times. I do feel that in the many years that I have lived in this area that I have established a reputation for honesty and integrity, an approach that I would bring with me to the School Board if elected.

Having had extensive diversity training and having served on diversity and gender equity committees at the University, I would do whatever I could to ensure that any future diversity training at the high school be done in an appropriate manner.

I do support the $20.4 million dollar renovation project of the high school as proposed by the School Board. Having two children currently at the high school, I'm aware of the deplorable conditions that currently exist and hope that we make sure we retain our accreditation.
