I am running for a seat on the Oyster River School Board to try to make a difference. We have waited for too long for our schools to be brought up to acceptable standards. We need to find consensus on a high school facilities project that will provide an adequate high school facility at a cost that the Oyster River School District voters are willing to fund. The stalemate has gone on for too long! The only group that has suffered is the students — the very people we are obligated to help and provide for. These very students are key to the future of our community.

We must come together to solve this problem, and soon. I believe almost everyone believes something must be done with high school to solve the problem of inadequate facilities, over-crowding, and lack of maintenance. We must meet this challenge not by arguing amongst ourselves but by providing adequate educational facilities for our children.
