If you want to keep in touch with activities in our community, you can "watch" the OROL News Channel. The OROL News Channel uses email to deliver announcements to you from your neighbors. You "watch" the OROL News Channel by subscribing to the email list.
You subscribe to the OROL News Channel by sending an email message to majordomo@lists.mv.net. The body of your message must be this:
subscribe orol-news-lYou will get 2 messages in response. One message will acknowledge the subscription request. The other will welcome you to the mailing list. If this automated system does not work, or you'd just rather deal with a person, send a request to editor@orol.org.
The OROL News Channel belongs to you! To post an announcement to the OROL News Channel, simply email a message to orol-news-l@lists.mv.net. Everyone who is subscribed to the email list will receive a copy of your announcement.
Be careful if you reply to a news item. Please check the "reply" field or "to" field in your email program to be sure you are sending your message to whom you expect. By default, your reply will be posted to the entire email list.
Use the OROL News Channel to announce activities of your community group. Announce public meetings, performances, fund raisers, or general happenings. Also feel free to post general news items of interest to our community.
Please limit your postings to news; that's what the subscribers sign up for. OROL has an issues discussion forum where you can discuss issues and voice your opinions. Please respect the wishes of your neighbors and use the News Channel for news and the issues forum for opinions.
