PTO and COMMITTEE NEWS

Here is a short description of the variety of exciting activities you can volunteer for this year:

Computer Lab........Working directly with children from all grades. Training provided by Chris Oxford, technology expert. No experience necessary. Contact: Sarah Sulsky

Estuary Program........Providing assistance in individual classrooms, accompanying children on field trips, helping to plan a culminating day event. All children (K-4) will be involved with this program from mid-Oct. through November. Contact: Sarah Sulsky

Halloween Party.......Help plan, decorate, set up, clean up, work at game booths and more. Contact: Lynn Allen

Ski and Skate Sale.......Held on a Sat. morning in November. Help sort, price and sell used sports equipment. Contact: Toni Taylor

Parent's Night Out....We need caregivers in advance of this event to help supervise children. We can't hold this event without parent volunteers! Contact: Paula Roy

Playground...........Help with fix-ups and installation and maintenance of playground equipment. There will be a work day in October(see notice in this issue) and more in the spring. Contact: Molly Hentz

Masthead............Two or three volunteers needed to help copy, collate and distribute the school's monthly newsletter. Contact: Wendy Harris

Spaghetti Dinner....Help set up, cook, serve, clean up, advertise and sell tickets for this popular gourmet event in March. Contact: Amy Paulshock

Book Fair.........Help setup and display books, sort and price used books and assist children with selections. April 8-10, 1997. Contact: Dawn O'Keefe

May Fair....Help with games, food, prizes, tickets, planning, coordinating volunteer times. Contact: Elena Pascale

Garden Committee.....Help with watering, weeding, mulching, dividing perennials. Also, planning for possible kids' garden club. Contact: Lori Lamb or Karen O'Keefe

Library Volunteers..Shelve and checkout books. Assist children with book selections and reference materials. Contact: Elaine Isherwood
