The Masthead

At the beginning of the year the focus is on cooperation and teamwork activities. This helps the kids get used to working with new classmates solving some "movement challenges".

They also work on Chasing, fleeing and dodging activities. The younger children learn to move quickly and safely around each other before progressing to simple tagging games. The older kids practice simple and complex tagging games that also incorporate teamwork and planning strategies.
