PARENTS' NIGHT OUT
November 16th was a successful evening in spite of the fact
that the sign up forms went home only five days before the
event!!  There were 92 children, raising about $200.00 for
the Moharimet PTO. Everyone had an enjoyable and fun
time.

Many thanks to Jean Marquis, who was the school
representative (with some initial help from Marcia Walenta).
 Jean, we already see the hard work you put in every day for
the school and for our children and are amazed that after
that, you have the energy to join us at PNO!  Thanks for
your support!

We had GREAT care givers, most of whom had never volunteered
for PNO, the evening went off smoothly!  Thanks to Tracy and
Bill Janelle for running the show!  Thanks to Carol and
Bruce Derr, Amy Peterson, Matt DeAngelis, Susan Fredric,
Fran and Tom Burns, Jay Wilson, John Kuschner and Lisa
Morison - who was a natural at the craft table!!  Thanks to
Brenda Boucher who brings the craft each PNO.   Children had
fun putting together  pine cones turkeys (very cute).

Thanks to Betsy Renshaw for helping me with the snack and
being the reason that PNO has been so successful over the
years.  As I take over running it this year I am delighted
how easy it has been.  Betsy has done a great job organizing
PNO, setting things up, getting parent and school support
and we are lucky that it is part of our community!  Many
thanks to you, Betsy!!
 
Next month we'll be sure to get the forms out with plenty of
time for you to plan a night out.  The next PNO is December
14th (mark it on your calander), a good night to do holiday
shopping.  It is great that we already have 11 care givers
signed up. (Call me if you'd like to be included.)  Thanks
so much for all the enthusiastic parent involvement.  If you
haven't already, take a few mmoments to check out the
volunteer sign up posters, hanging up in the front entrance
way of the school - we are hoping to begin getting
volunteers for January through May.  If you'd prefer, give
me a call and leave your name and PNO date and I'll sign you
up!!   And again, many thanks for those who have already
signed up!!

Please call me, Andrea Parsons (743-6606),  any time with
suggestions, joys, concerns or  to volunteer.  I've noticed
that finding  volunteers to bring snacks for the care givers
is sometimes difficult so please consider volunteering to do
that, if you want to do something, but care giving just
isn't your thing!  See you next month !
