GOALS -- PRIORITIES
1996 - 1997
VISION STATEMENT

To provide a learning environment which fosters excellence in education by challenging each individual to produce his/her best effort and highest quality work in a positive setting.

  1. Hire the best possible candidate for the middle school and high school principalships.

  2. Make progress toward optimal care and use of facilities and equipment and necessary expansion of district facilities. Specifically,
    1. complete Oyster River Middle School construction;
    2. develop a plan for addressing high school space needs;
    3. address Mast Way sprinkler/fire code issue.

  3. Incorporate technology/computer use into every day instructional and learning activities.

  4. Develop a system to evaluate teaching performance to encourage continuous improvement and reward instructional excellence.

  5. Review curriculum, particularly math, music, foreign language, and character/citizenship education, and means for assessing same.
