The Board of Trustees of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges met on March 9, 2000 and considered the recommendation of the Commission on Public Secondary Schools that Oyster River High School be placed on probation.

Upon reviewing the Commission's memorandum dated February 25, 2000, the Board of Trustees voted to accept the recommendation to place the school on probation.

The Board of Trustees trusts that school and community officials will take aggressive steps to resolve the Commission's concerns relating to the school's adherence to the Standards for Accreditation on Curriculum, Instruction, School Resources for Learning and Community Resources for Learning.
