(Draft) REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSAL:

Your firm is invited to submit your letter of qualifications to become eligible for an interview for architectural services as indicated below. The Oyster River School Board requests this submission of qualifications by architects to assist the High School Space Needs Study Committee in their deliberations regarding options and estimates for improvements to the Oyster River High School.

The scope of work, at this time, is as follows:

The retained architect will:

• examine existing materials generated over the past several years regarding the high school space needs.

• assist the Space Needs Committee in developing a schematic wish list which will examine the core - specifically a new auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria and library/technology center - (and classrooms?) for a projected enrollment of 1150 students with emphasis on current technology,

• impose the hypothetical wish list/schematics over the existing school and school property to test the apparent "fit", and, if the fit seems to work,

• options and phasing

• generate a possible construction budget,

• if fit does not work, develop a program and associated possible costs to accommodate the schematics.

The retained architect will then assist the Space Needs Committee in the preparation of their report to the School Board

The anticipated time schedule is:

• Retain architect (date) 7/10 W 7/16 Tu

• Develop initial schematics (date) 9/17 Tu

• Report to School Board 10/16 W
