Customer Driven Systematic Innovative Robust Designs is possible through the synergy between QFD, TRIZ and Taguchi. |

Our friend to the left seems to have a problem or a contradiction. Is the contradiction self inflicted? Often, we assume that opposing conditions must exist at the same time or in the same space. Because of this self imposed constraint, two principles used in resolving physical contradictions by the TRIZ methodology are: separation in space, and separation in time. For example our friend has no problem if the rectangular structure is needed first and the tubular figure is needed later.Learn more about TRIZ at our 3-day TRIZ course June 23-25, 2001. |

The second edition with a TRIZ chapter is now available. This book was designed for the beginning QFD practitioner. A single case for an easel pad begins with understanding the customer segments and finishes with manufacturing deployment. Taguchi's loss function is included. The TRIZ contradiction table, Ideality and patterns of design evolution are included. There are 34 workshops to be used by the reader of the book and the necessary worksheets are included.

Step-by-Step TRIZ: Creating Innovative Concepts for Innovative Problems is now Available. Step-by-Step TRIZ introduces several TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) tools useful for generating innovative ideas. There is adequate information in the book for the reader to create new concepts without the aid of a computer.
